With Mother’s Day fast approaching, the Lakewood, WA community has one local mom in particular everyone will want to celebrate: Tamy Pelcha-Hamilton, Home Baker and co-owner of Mama’s Muffins & Bakery.  Providing the Lakewood community with delicious muffins since 2010, Mama’s Muffins & Bakery is a true mom-and-pop shop.  Starting as a wholesale jumbo muffin business, Tamy and her husband, Rod, made their muffins out of a rent-by-the-hour commercial kitchen. Mama's Muffins & More took off, and Rod and Tamy were able to open their retail shop in Lakewood on June 11, 2011.

If it wasn’t for the AIM Mail Center in the Ocean Ranch Village Shopping Center, those in Dana Point who couldn’t make it to the local post office by 5:30 p.m. on Tax Day, Monday April 15th, 2013 would have to drive to the U.S. Post Office on Fairview Road in Costa Mesa to mail their taxes.
