CReATE Studio in Westlake Village, CA is an art studio that allows artists of all ages and skill levels to express their creativity using a variety of new and recycled materials. With most of the art materials donated to the Studio from local people and businesses, the CReATE Studio offers a wide variety of recycled, artistic and crafty materials for artists to work with. Some of the materials available include cardboard, paint, ribbon, plastic bottles and more. With such a variety of unique materials to work with, no two pieces of artwork turn out the same. CReATE Studio also actively works to contribute to local charities. In April 2012, the Studio hosted an event where participants pre-purchased two pairs of TOMS, one for themselves and one for a child, and brought them to CReATE Studio to be customized by local artists. The children’s TOMS were decorated and donated directly to Casa Pacifica’s Camarillo Facility to help Westlake Village children in need. Currently, CReATE Studio is inviting members of the Westlake Village community to join them in November for the “What Makes a House a Home” art show which will benefit the Ventura chapter of Habitat for Humanity. To participate, make an artsy interpretation of what makes a house a home and donate the artwork to CReATE. On November 9 – 10, 2012, CReATE Studio will display the donated artwork at their November art show and auction the pieces. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Ventura chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
