September 21, 2012
It’s time for the 40th Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair.  On October 6 – 7, 2012, head on down to Live Oak Park, Dorsey Field, and the Joslyn Center for a fun weekend of fair food, arts & crafts, free entertainment, and games.  A Manhattan Beach tradition, new events and entertainment are added each year to keep the fair fresh and interesting for those who have been coming for years. Featuring more than 200 arts and crafts booths, local artisans at the Hometown Fair offer a wide variety of arts and crafts, including glass, metal, wood, ceramics, oil painting, watercolors, jewelry, clothing, and more.  Those who want to purchase arts and crafts can rest assured that they are getting top quality products as the artists participating in the fair are selected by a jury.  With the holidays fast approaching, this is a great opportunity to pick up some gifts for friends and family and support local artisans. There will also be a Community Showcase for Amateur Art and Stage Shows at the Joslyn Center.  The Joslyn stage will feature continuous entertainment, and there will be an Amateur Art Exhibit, featuring various categories of arts and crafts by artists of all ages. All of the artwork on display will have been made by local residents and amateur artists.  Some of the art that will be on display will include painting, sculpture, photography, woodwork, and more. If you purchase any arts or crafts, the Manhattan Beach AIM Mail Center can ship your new items via UPS shipping and FedEx shipping.  They can even help you compare shipping rates to find the best rate and service for shipping your package.
