Fountain Valley, a Nice Place to Live – And Learn About Art

Fountain Valley, California is a classic commuter town located in the heart of Orange County.  Just minutes from Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, the beach, and shopping, residents of Fountain Valley have adopted the motto "A Nice Place to Live" for their city.  The city features well maintained streets, numerous parks, a wide range of recreation programs, and great weather. One business that helps make Fountain Valley a nice place to live is the Art Center.  Established in 2002, The Art Center offers art supplies and classes for children, teens and adults in the area.  One of the instructors, April Joy, has taught painting for over twenty years.  Her own artwork has been featured in galleries in Laguna Beach, Carmel and Hawaii.  April’s twin sister, Heather Sutton, recently began teaching classes at the Art Center as well. The Art Center offers classes for children, teens, and adults of all skill levels.  Students learn painting techniques using oil and/or acrylic paints on canvas and are able to work individually at their own level and pace. Classes are kept small with only 10 to 12 students in each class.  Adults have the opportunity to participate in day-long workshops and take exclusive “Art Excursions” to Europe.
