It’s Fiesta Time in Los Gatos, CA

It’s time for the forty-first annual Fiesta de Artes in Los Gatos, California!  Attracting visitors from all over the San Francisco Bay Area, this is the town’s only art and wine festival.  Kids will enjoy face painting, a bouncy house, and art projects, while adults will love the artist booths, gourmet food, local wine and beer, and live music. More than 150 juried artisans will be exhibiting fine art and a variety handmade crafts.  Guests can browse through the various booths and purchase original artwork, which will be in a variety of mediums, including glass, painting, photography, and more.  The artists will be in their booths to explain their work and answer questions. Wine enthusiasts will love the wine booths from multiple South Bay wineries.   Sip on wine from local wineries like Bonny Doon, Ventana J. Lohr, Cypress and Chateau Julien while strolling through the artists’ booths, or while relaxing and listening to the music. Don’t forget to pick up a commemorative festival wine glass! In keeping with the festive spirit of a fiesta, there will be live music onstage from 10 am to 6 pm daily.  Expect to hear a variety of styles, from jazz to rock to country! Proceeds from the festival go to the Kiwanis Club of Los Gatos, who will reinvest the funds back into the Los Gatos community.  The Los Gatos Kiwanis Club helps the community by offering scholarships, supporting local schools, maintaining bike trails and aiding seniors. The Fiesta de Artes will be held Saturday and Sunday, August 11-12, 2012 at the Los Gatos Civic Center grounds.  If you purchase art at the fiesta, visit the Los Gatos AIM Mail Center for help with safely packaging and shipping your new artwork.  The Los Gatos AIM Mail Center can also help ship wine you purchase from the local wineries.
