Laguna Woods, CA is a unique city in Orange County with ninety percent of the city’s 4 square miles contained within the senior citizen gated community of Laguna Woods Village.  The rest of the city has three additional senior residential communities and several commercial centers.  Laguna Woods Village offers their residents independent, resort-style living.  With access to a variety of recreational activities, including music and dance clubs, sports and fitness clubs, and arts and crafts clubs, Laguna Woods Village residents will never get bored. One of the arts and crafts clubs, the Art Association of Laguna Woods, offers members a variety of art classes and the ability to participate in annual art shows.  Currently the Art Association is hosting their annual Multi-Media show, which can be viewed by Laguna Woods Village residents through September 15, 2012.  Those who are inspired to create their own artwork can enroll in one of the many art classes offered through the Laguna Woods Art Association. One of the classes offered is Advanced Oil and Acrylic, taught by plein air oil painter and abstract artist Marjorie Kinney. Artist Marjorie Kinney primarily paints Southern California landscapes and seascapes.  An active participant in the Orange County art scene, Kinney exhibits her artwork at the Art-A-Fair Festival and The Balboa Island Art Walk of Fine Art.  In the past, her artwork has also won awards at the Laguna Woods All Media Art show. To enroll in Kinney’s class at Laguna Woods Village, call her prior to attending class.  Along with teaching an art class for the Laguna Woods Art Association, Kinney hosts art entertainment events for small to large corporations who conduct their meetings at Southern California hotels and other national destinations.  These events can entail art classes, art tours, and art lectures.
