Rock the Art at Rock N’ Art Studio

It’s been a busy year for Rock N’ Art Studio in Southaven, Mississippi.  The studio just opened its doors last October, and, on October 15, 2011, they held their Grand Opening Celebration which included a ribbon cutting ceremony, face painting for kids, and refreshments.  After a season of exciting classes, in March 2012, the studio held their very first student art exhibit where attendees were able to view artwork the students had created.  Continuing with their busy schedule, Rock N’ Art Studio held another season of classes, another student art exhibit, and a series of summer art camps.  Over the past ten months the Studio has been open, students have learned about abstract drawing, still life, pointillism, and more. Rock N’ Art Studio also teaches edible art – cake decorating.  At the beginning of July, the Studio hosted a Cake Decorating Camp where kids received hands on help creating flowers, icing cakes, writing, airbrushing and borders. With classes catering to all skill levels, students don’t need to have prior art experience to participate in classes.  Students get to create art projects like mosaic stepping stones, paintings, drawing, print making and more.  Those who really love the Rock N’ Art Studio can even host painting parties at the studio, perfect for a birthday party or a friends’ night out.
