Greenville, South Carolina has a thriving arts community with a number theaters, art galleries, and museums.  The Greenville Museum of Art, which features American art, is a famous landmark in Greenville.  Residents and visitors of Greenville can check out the Greenville Museum of Art during the next First Friday ArtWalk on April 6, 2012. The First Friday ArtWalk is a self-guided tour of art galleries, museums, and restaurants in the Uptown district of Greenville.  The Art galleries, museums and restaurants on the ArtWalk offer special sales and entertainment.  Some of the art galleries and museums on the ArtWalk are the Wellington B. Gray Gallery, the Greenville Museum of Art, and Uptown Art Supply and Gallery.  Participants in the ArtWalk can also enjoy free rides around the Uptown district on the Greenville Jolly Trolley.  The First Friday ArtWalk is on first Friday of every month from 6pm to 9 pm and is hosted by Uptown Greenville and the Pitt County Arts Council at Emerge.
