It’s time for the annual Cypress Art League Autumn Open Show!  This is a contest, and the lucky winners will receive monetary prizes in the categories of Painting, Other Media, Photography, 3-Dimensional, and Digital Art.  Cypress Art League members and non-members are invited to enter artwork into the show, so there should be a wide variety of artwork to view.   Members of the Cypress community and surrounding areas are invited to stop by the Cypress Community Center from September 16, 2012 through October 15, 2012 to see the artwork. The Cypress Art League Autumn Show is a juried art show, and this year’s judge is Jack King, an art historian and well-known artist.  A former art history professor, King continues to lecture at educational institutions and private art and cultural organizations throughout Southern California.  An extremely talented artist in his own right, King has professionally exhibited his artwork for over thirty-five years, participating in both one-man and group exhibitions.  Every January, King hosts an art lecture for the Cypress Art League General meeting, which is free and open to the public.
