Weatherford, Texas is a historic town with a rich western heritage.  A tradition in Weatherford that dates back to the late 1800s is First Monday Trade Days.   Known as one of the oldest open-aired markets in Texas, First Monday Trade Days is a traditional monthly event in Weatherford. In the late 1800s, local farmers, ranchers, and merchants would buy, sell or trade livestock, handmade goods, produce, and other items to large crowds who gathered during the monthly legal trials at the courthouse.

Santa Monica, CA is home to the Santa Monica Airport, one of Los Angeles County’s oldest operating airfields.  The Santa Monica Airport has a rich history.  It is the former home of the Douglas Aircraft Company, whose planes completed the first circumnavigation of the world by air in 1924.  The Santa Monica airport is also the birthplace of the Douglas DC-3 airliner which revolutionized air transport in the 1930s and 1940s. Over time, several historic airplane hangers have been converted into creative venues like art studios and theaters.
